· --You have an undying
loyalty to this place where you are going to spend the best four years of your
life like nothing else.
· --Your wardrobe gets a severe injection of your college’s colors.
· --Shameless repping.
· --You and your family may be caught all wearing some of your
university’s swag. At the same time. On multiple occasions. In public.
· --You live this weird
“double life” – your home life and your school life. You have to adapt back and
forth between two extremely different lifestyles and people.
· --Your appreciation for privacy increases. In a dorm, you are never
truly alone. EVER.
· --Sleep is always the
best way to spend free time…
· --… but free time doesn’t exist. You thought you were busy in high
school, until you got to college.
· --The concept of
sleeping in public is completely normal. Everybody has their favorite snooze
spot on campus.
· --All the time in your day (besides class) is yours, and it is up to
you to choose how you are going to use it.
· --2am calzones are
always a good idea.
· --People do not care what you
wear. Seriously, experiment all you want. There are so many different styles out there and I am constantly inspired.
· --You realize home-cooked
food is a luxury. Before it was okay, but now it is a delicacy.
· --Everyone is struggling. Even the people you think are put-together.
· --Everyone is also doing
a million and five things all the time, just like you.
· --You realize your family is actually pretty cool. And normal.
· --You become so much
more tolerant of other people and see the world completely differently.
· --You realize how lucky you are for what you have.
I love my school- Some of my friends and I at the Homecoming game
